Alessia's Interview

Can you introduce yourself (your name, your location?)

My name is Alessia Dettoli, located in Milan 


When did you join HiPay? What is your job?

I joined HiPay November 2017, I started as Account Manager, today my role is Key Account Manager 


What are your main tasks at HiPay?

Basically I manage the relationship with our key merchants supporting them operational and strategic side, offering new products (new payment methods, new module features etc..), evaluating their performances and suggesting a strategy based on analysis of their business with us, developing new projects with them and offering advice on final customers UX for payments and antifraud strategies.


What product do you work on?

I mainly work with our integrated payment methods, I follow the integrations alongside the Technical Account Manager and i work on the antifraud part with the Sentinel, Custom data etc

Sentinel and custom data are antifraud tools, implemented -house that allow the merchants to check every single transaction, real time, and evaluate how risky it could be and if we need to trigger an action or not (action like 3DS, manual review)


What tools do you use in your work (software, technology …)

I use internal tools, Salesforce, Jira, Excel, Power Point


What knowledge is necessary for your job?

Fast learning, proactive and a approach and problem solving not as “common skills requested by every company” but as a We need to deal and cooperate not only with our merchants, but also with our colleagues, so it’s fundamental to always find the better and smartest solution.

It’s important to know and understand the whole world of payments, ecommerce and transactions, and learning about it because it’s a fast moving sector.


How would you define the HiPay culture?

Work hard, play hard


Why did you decide to join HiPay and what kind of profile would fit well with HiPay?

I joined Hipay because of the role offered (Account Manager) and because I was very interested in Fintech and the world.

According to you, what does it mean to work at HiPay?

In my case it means having the chance to show that I’m able to manage my own tasks and professional and personal goals, meet the challenges and consequently develop my career.
